There are several ways to enjoy libations at the Wine Country Winter Festival. Here are the options:
The Wine, Microbrew, Spirits & Ciders Tasting:
hours: 11-5 Saturday 11-4 Sunday*
The Tasting, held in the Hall of Flowers, is one way to indulge, and we have listed all the companies below who have signed up thus far. We anticipate 50+ companies will pour in the tasting during the weekend. It is $25 to get a commemorative glass and 6 “tastes”. Taste size varies: wine is 2 oz, beer is 3 oz and spirits are 1/4 oz, unless they are mixed drinks, in which case 1 oz. The Tasting is divided into 4 shifts for our companies. They can come from 11-2 or 2-5 on Saturday and 11-2 or 2-4 on Sunday. SPIRITS WILL BE POURED IN THE MORNING SHIFTS ONLY.
The Wine & Microbrew by-the-Glass Booth
Hours 11-5 Saturday 11-4 Sunday*
You can buy beer or wine by the plastic glass for $10, or $15 for a commemorative glass, at the Wine & Microbrew Booth next to the Main Stage in Grace Pavilion. Our beer sponsor, Lagunitas will have a number of different beers to choose from, and other beer sponsors, Modelo and Pacifico will also be available. Our wine sponsor Carol Shelton Wines will have several different varietals of wines to enjoy.
*We are required by the ABC and our insurance to close alcohol service 1 hour prior to the close of the festival.
Bottled Sales Market
Hours 11-6 Saturday, 11-5 Sunday
Many companies will sell their products in our Bottled Sales Market, across the way from the Tasting, in the Hall of Flowers. This is an opportunity to taste the varietals in the Tasting, and then buy a bottle to take home, or give as a gift. This is the perfect time of year to bring home a few bottles or cases for holiday celebrations or gift-giving.
